Description

In Virtual Villagers: A New Home, a volcanic eruption causes a small tribe of people to flee their homeland. They are soon washed ashore on the island of Isola and the player becomes their benevolent overseer. Isola is a bountiful small island, but the player must help the villagers survive by telling them what to do.

Virtual Villagers: A New Home is a village simulator where you care for and nurture a tribe of little people by teaching them the basics of survival. The object of the game is to grow a small village in your computer. The villagers need to become farmers, builders, researchers, and parents and make decisions on unpredictable island events. As the village grows and prospers, the villagers become curious about their mysterious island home and the secrets it holds. Aside from guiding the villagers' day-to-day lives, the player helps them to explore and restore the island.

The simulation progresses in real time even when the game is not running. Villagers can die due to lack of food or neglect unless the game is paused before ending a session. Once there are no more living villagers, the game is over.
