Super Collapse! 3 is the fifth title in the Collapse! series of games developed by GameHouse, the internal studio for publisher RealNetworks, Inc. Super Collapse! 3 builds on the foundation of previous titles with new game variations played in a "quest" where players progress through levels, earning and unlocking items along the way.

Description

In Super Collapse! 3, players undertake a quest through 10 fantasy lands playing Collapse! variations also found in Super Collapse! II (Classic, Puzzle, Strategy, Relapse) plus three new options:

Slider - Rows of blocks slide back and forth during game play
Continuous - An endless version of the Classic mode
Countdown - Try for the highest score in a 2-minute game

Throughout the quest, players earn trophies and coins to purchase "power-up" items in the Shop, and unlock 10 casino-style mini-games.

Similar to all games in the Collapse! series, the core game play involves clicking on colored blocks in groupings of three or more to remove them from a board, score points, and advance through levels. When a group is removed, the blocks above drop down to fill the hole. If a column is cleared, the blocks slide to the center of the field. Special pieces (bombs, time-stoppers, hints, scramblers, blockers) enable and inhibit the ability to remove blocks before the level ends.

In addition to the Quest mode, Super Collapse! 3 has a Quick Play mode containing all 7 game variations. Each variation is unlocked by playing the Quest.

Background & History

Super Collapse! 3 is the fifth title in the popular Collapse! franchise, released in May 2006. Versions of Super Collapse 3 for Nintendo DS and Sony PSP are expected to release in Summer 2007.

Tips & Tricks

For maximum points, concentrate on clearing all colors but one. Once that one color has built up into a large group, click the group and get big bonus points for clearing large blocks combinations.
Point values for the big groups increase significantly after the fourth color appears (white). It's good to have a big group ready to go as soon as the fourth color comes in.
Bombs must be clicked to explode. If a row of blocks falls on a bomb, it will not detonate and you will lose the bomb.
Indestructible gray blocks cannot be removed without the aid of the black super bomb, so try to save the black super bombs to take out these blocks.
Hidden in each land is a secret spot with bonus coins that you can use to buy power-ups, puzzle solutions, and other surprises. Click around on the map for each area to see if you can find them.
