    History

Smart Box Design was founded by Todd Sherman and Jim Patterson in 2003. They had worked on several projects together in Seattle at the educational company Edmark. When Edmark was closed they continued to work with each other and additional Edmark staff. First working on contract development projects and creating their own games as time permitted. In 2005 the decision was made to work full-time creating their own games. Word Monaco Solitaire was their first casual game to be released through Sandlot Games, Inc.
