Slingo Quest is the latest title in the Slingo series of games developed and published by Funkitron. Slingo Quest retains the classic game play of the original Slingo (a combination of Slots and Bingo) and adds a quest mode with new features and challenges.

Description

Slingo Quest is set in a series of tropical islands where players progress through 50 levels to complete the quest across all 10 of the game's islands. At each location, players are presented with a 5x5 or 7x7 Bingo-like grid containing random numbers and 20 "spins" of a slot machine device. After each spin, a series of numbers or images (wild cards and bonuses) appear below each column in the Bingo grid. Players try to cover each number on the grid by matching a slot number or wild card with a number in the column above, ultimately achieving 'Slingo' -- a horizontal, vertical or diagonal grouping of matches.

Points are scored with every match and Slingo created, with greater amounts awarded for matches that complete several simultaneous rows, columns or diagonals. To complete each level, unlock new levels/rewards, and move forward in the Slingo Quest, players must (at minimum) cover each square in a pattern that varies from card to card.

Background & History

The deluxe downloadable game Slingo Quest was developed in 2006 by Slingo, Inc.'s partner Funkitron. It was released to casual game distribution portals in November 2006 and a CD ROM version is available through select retail outlets. Slingo Quest is based on the original Slingo online game developed in 1995 by Slingo, Inc. In February 2007, I-play (mobile entertainment company) announced a global licensing deal with Slingo, Inc. to collaborate on launching Slingo Quest as a mobile game in late 2007 via I-play’s global distribution network.[1]
