MumboJumbo is a developer of casual games for online and retail distribution. The company's Luxor series of action-puzzle games is one of the top franchises in casual gaming. MumboJumbo is also a publisher of casual games for the retail channel. The company maintains distribution relationships with major retailers and publishing relationships with leading developers in the casual game industry.

MumboJumbo is a wholly owned subsidiary of United Developers, LLC, with offices in Dallas, Texas and Los Angeles, California.

History

MumboJumbo was founded in 2001 by industry veterans Mark Dochtermann and Ron Dimant to focus on innovative content for PC, Macintosh, and console platforms.

Company Timeline

  • January 2001 - Ritual Entertainment splits into two companies, forming a new game company called Mumbo Jumbo, initially focused on developing a real-time strategy game (Myth III: The Wolf Age) and converting various PC and Console titles for Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X for its sister company MacPlay.
