Funkitron, Inc. was founded in 2001 by Dave Walls, a former creative director for Hasbro Interactive who was attracted to the casual game industry's digital distribution model, small game size, and pure nature of play. Funkitron's first games Dicey and Cascade where experiments in the market. In 2003 Funkitron partnered with Atari to create the first downloadable games based a board game brand -- SCRABBLE and Boggle Supreme. The company later extended these franchises by creating SCRABBLE Blast and SCRABBLE Rack Attack.
