[edit] Description
Bejeweled 2 is similar to the original Bejeweled with some added game play modes, enhanced production values and a fantasy sci-fi theme. In Classic mode, the game is played on a grid filled with colored gems. The object is to score points by swapping adjacent gems to create horizontal or vertical groupings with three or more gems of the same color. When a grouping is created, the player earns points, the gems disappear, and new gems fall from above to fill the empty grid squares. Extra points and power-up gems are earned by: creating a "cascade" where two or more sets line up for a chain reaction and removing groupings with more than 3 gems. The game ends when there are no valid moves. Action mode (called Timed in Bejeweled) is similar to Classic mode except it is played against a timer. In Puzzle mode, patterns of gems appear and the goal is to clear all the gems. In Endless mode there is no timer and always at least one valid move for relaxed, unlimited play.
Bejeweled 2 also features secret gameplay modes that can be accessed by beating levels of Classic, Puzzle, Endless and Action modes or through special codes and cheats (see below).
